FAQ
Common questions
Quick answers about adding Caelum, setup, modules, and data handling.
What is Caelum?
Caelum is a modular Discord bot for moderation, logging, welcome messages, tickets, reaction roles, automod, leveling, giveaways, and related server tools. You enable only the modules your server needs.
Is Caelum still being developed?
Yes. Caelum is under active development. Expect new modules, commands, and dashboard updates over time. Turn modules on with /modules set when you want to try something new.
Is Caelum free?
Caelum includes free features today. Paid or premium features may be added later. We will describe pricing before any charge applies to your server.
How do I add Caelum to my server?
Click Add to Discord on this site, choose your server, and approve the requested permissions. After the bot joins, run /setup in Discord to configure admin roles, logging, and optional modules.
What does /setup do?
/setup is the onboarding wizard for new servers. It walks staff through admin and mod roles, a log channel, and optional welcome, autorole, and engagement modules.
Can I disable modules I do not use?
Yes. Use /modules set in Discord to turn individual modules on or off per server. Core diagnostics and permissions stay available.
Does Caelum use prefix commands?
No. Caelum is a slash command Discord bot for normal use. Staff and members interact through commands such as /setup, /permissions audit, and module-specific slash commands.
Does Caelum have Discord reaction roles?
Yes. The reaction roles module lets members self-assign roles by reacting to a message. Configure mappings in the dashboard or with /reactionrole commands, then post or sync the role message.
Can Caelum run a ticket system on my Discord server?
Yes. The tickets module is a Discord ticket bot: staff post an open-ticket panel, members pick a type from a dropdown, and Caelum creates private support channels with claim, close, and transcript commands.
Does Caelum include Discord moderation and automod?
Yes. Moderation covers warns, timeouts, kicks, bans, and cases with IDs. Automod adds Discord native filters plus bot rules for caps, repeats, and young accounts. Enable each module with /modules set.
Does Caelum run Discord giveaways?
Yes. The giveaway module posts button-entry giveaways with timers, winner counts, optional role gates, reroll, and cancel. Use /giveaway start or see the giveaway feature page on this site.
Does Caelum have leveling and XP rank cards?
Yes. Members earn message XP with cooldowns. /level rank shows a rank card, and staff can configure role rewards and leaderboards from Discord or the dashboard.
Can Caelum log moderation and server events?
Yes. The logging module sends grouped audit and mod log events to one channel. Toggle member, moderation, channel, role, and message groups separately.
Does Caelum support Discord honeypot trap channels?
Yes. Mark a decoy channel with /honeypot set and Caelum can kick or ban anyone who posts there. Status commands show trigger counts for staff.
Can Caelum protect against Discord join raids?
Yes. The security module includes raid-mode thresholds, quarantine roles, young-account joins, and channel lockdown tools. Enable it with /security toggle.
How is Caelum different from other Discord bots?
Caelum is modular: enable only the modules you need. It is slash-first, includes /setup and /permissions audit for staff, and groups audit logging. There is no prefix command layer for normal users.
Is Caelum a good alternative to MEE6 or Dyno for moderation?
For staff-heavy servers, Caelum covers moderation cases with IDs, grouped audit logs, automod, security raid tools, and /permissions audit. It does not include music or economy. Review the moderation and automod pages on this site, then invite Caelum and run /setup to try it in your server.
What data does Caelum store?
Caelum stores guild configuration, moderation cases, audit logs, and module data needed for enabled features. If you log in to the dashboard, it also stores a Discord OAuth session. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Who runs my data?
Caelum operates the bot and this website. For privacy requests, see the Privacy Policy or contact us using the details listed there.
