Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-08. These terms govern use of the Caelum Discord bot and the dashboard on this website.

Agreement

By inviting Caelum to a Discord server, using its commands, or logging into the dashboard, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If you use the service on behalf of a Discord server or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that server or organization to these terms.

Relationship to Discord

Caelum uses the Discord API. You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Discord Developer Terms. Discord may change or revoke API access at any time.

If these terms conflict with Discord's terms or developer policies for your use of Discord, Discord's documents control for that use.

The service

Caelum is a multipurpose Discord bot with an optional web dashboard. We operate the bot, API, database, and public website that make the service available to you.

Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements for your region. If you manage a server, you represent that you have authority to add bots and configure server settings.

Free and paid features

Some features are available without charge today. We may introduce paid or premium features in the future. If we add paid features, we will describe pricing and billing terms before you are charged. Continued use of paid features after notice constitutes acceptance of the applicable price.

We reserve the right to monetize any part of the service, including new modules, higher limits, or support tiers, subject to applicable law and any billing terms in effect at the time.

Permitted use

You may use Caelum to manage Discord communities through its documented features.

Server staff are responsible for:

  • Configuring modules appropriately for their community
  • Respecting member privacy and applicable laws
  • Keeping staff roles and integration secrets secure
  • Posting accurate bot descriptions where required by Discord

Prohibited use

You may not use Caelum to:

  • Violate Discord's terms, developer policy, or applicable law
  • Harass, spam, or automate abuse against users or Discord's infrastructure
  • Attempt to bypass permission checks, scrape unrelated data, or attack the service
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or misuse tokens, sessions, or webhook secrets
  • Misrepresent the bot's identity or collect data beyond what enabled features require

Dashboard access

The dashboard is for users with Discord permission to manage a server. Sharing login sessions, bypassing permission checks, or accessing servers you do not administer is not allowed.

Modules and third-party services

Optional modules and integrations may call external services (for example AI providers or webhooks). Enabling those features may subject you to third-party terms. Staff choose which modules to enable.

Availability and changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime unless we publish a separate SLA. Features may change between releases. We may suspend or limit the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.

Disclaimer of warranties

Caelumis provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caelum and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you used only free features.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty or liability limits. In those cases, the limits apply only to the extent allowed by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Caelum and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your server configuration, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Caelum by removing the bot from a server and logging out of the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or threatens the service.

Intellectual property

Caelum, its branding, website content, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Discord trademarks belong to Discord Inc. Do not imply endorsement by Discord beyond normal bot usage.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. Continued use after the updated date means you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree to an update, stop using the service and remove the bot from your servers.

General

  • Entire agreement: These terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Caelum about the service, except for any separate written billing terms for paid features.
  • Severability: If one part of these terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failing to enforce a term once does not waive the right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign our rights as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization.
